Just Random

I'm having an off day. Actually it's not so much an off day as an off couple of days!
Almost everyday I love being known as Mom. Somedays I would like to be more than Mom and have a conversation other than answering every question know to man--ranging from "What's more important the Sun, Earth, or the Moon?" or "Why can't I dig in the dirt right before I go to school?" I know that when my kids are grown up and don't need me as much as they do now I'm going to look back and wish that they were the age they are now.

What's funny is everytime Josh and I actually do go out I'm counting down the minutes to get my kids back. Josh will suggest we stop at another store and just walk around or we wait for a little while longer to get the girls and I'm always the one that tells him we need to pick them up. And everytime Jessica has a good time without me, I admit my heart breaks (even though I really do love that she is okay without me it would be nice to know that without me she is crying in the corner in a fetal position and the only word she can get out is Mom until I come back! (I'm exaggerating))

Tori is and always will be my baby, she really needs me. If I go out of the room for just a minute she will come running up and hug me and tells me "I found you!" She also knows the perfect time (mostly when she's naughty) to shout out she loves me!

Ok--I'm over my mood now! I guess I just had to remember how short of time they are actually little. Before I know it they're going to be teenagers and rolling their eyes at me (Which Jessica already does!)

Rich Lucas 1957-2010

This week has been a very hard week for our family. My father-in-law passed away last Sunday unexpectedly. It will be a diffult adjustment for all of us, thankfully we are with Josh's mom and we can all get through it together.

We will forever miss him! I will miss his sense of humor, his love for nature and his love for his grand kids. I loved watching Josh and Rich talk about cars or how to best build something.

This was the last thing that he made and it hangs in our trailer.

We love you Papa Rich!
