Jessica and I are joining forces to try and Potty train Toribelle. I personally think she might not be ready but I'm going to see where it goes. Jessica seems to really want to be the one that teaches her about the joys of big girl panties.

She actually did go potty and wanted me to take a picture of it! She was pretty proud of herself so maybe we do have a fighting chance.

Running through the Sprinklers

The girls ran through the sprinklers this afternoon. Tori hates the cold water so she sits on the sidelines while Jessica tries to squirt her with the hose! It ends in tears :(

Her First Crush

Jessica has a crush on one of Josh's friend. I'm not going to say who because she swore me to secrecy! (pinkie swear to be exact) She first mentioned it to me a couple of months ago and told me that she knows she's going to marry him! Anyway, whenever Josh mentions this friend of his she gives me this cute look. It makes me laugh!

Today she told me that she's not in love with him anymore! I guess she's moved on.

A Case of the Mondays

Mondays we leave the house at the butt crack of dawn to take Josh to the airport so the girls are extremely tired all day. There's sobbing, yelling, jealousy, hitting, and bad attitudes. There's no respect for the law.

Yesterday all I could do was wish and pray that it would be a believable time to make the girls go to bed. Fortunately, for me it was raining and overcast so bed time came early! Thank you Rain!!

Recipe for Fried Worms

Whenever anyone in our family starts to feel sorry for themselves my husband will politely suggest that you go eat fried worms! It must be something that he's suggested for a very long time because he actually wrote his own recipe for it. It was written when he was in elementary school not sure of the exact age and kept in my Mother-in-laws recipe box

Here's how to make fried worms.

Get 24 worms put them in a pan. With cooling oil temp. Medium hi

And after done cooking put lemmon on the Fried Worms and eat

the Fried Worms.

Richards Family Reunion

I've been putting together a Richards Cookbook for the past couple of months. What a pain! But it's been so fun talking to family members that I probably wouldn't have ever talked to. I love to cook and the Richards family are great cooks--seriously!

I've been scanning in pictures of the Richards Reunions for the past couple of days. When i say I love looking at pictures--I mean it! I'm putting together a Richards Family Blog so that everyone can enjoy the pictures and hopefully more of us can stay in contact!

I have so many good memories of the Richards Reunions. They were week long at Camp Christie in Charles City, IA. There were crafts, canoe rides, water fights, games, horseshoes, golfing, laughing and catching up!!

What I love most about being a Richards is the ability to laugh and have fun and to cook!
